WE DID IT!!!

WE DID IT!  We totally ROCKED all 3 end-of-level assessments!  I am SOOOOOO proud of each and every single one of you for working so hard this year and doing your best each and every day!

Guess what this means for homework???

NO MORE HOMEWORK FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!!! BOOYA!!! :)  

Homework 05.14.13

Do we have homework??? Well, not tonight!  Do we have it the rest of the school year??? Not sure yet! 

So far our science test scores are AMAZING!!!  We still need to get the results of the test back from 4 more students to know if we hit our goal for no homework and 80 party points.  I am sending out positive vibes to make sure that the remaining 4 students pass with flying colors!!!

WE CAN DO IT!!! :)

Homework 05.13.13

WILL WE HAVE HOMEWORK THIS WEEK???  Well, that all depends on our Science CRT scores.  Don't forget that our goal was 88% proficiency on ALL THREE CRT's.  We totally ROCKED our Language and Math scores!  If we ROCK our Science CRT today. . .NO MORE HOMEWORK! 

If we don't hit 88% proficient on Science, then I will have homework posted for the rest of the week.  For tonight, take a breather and don't worry about homework, just keep your fingers crossed that I have good news tomorrow about your Science test! :)

Homework 05.06 - 05.10.13

Just an FYI, our testing schedule has changed just a little bit this week.

Here is our new testing schedule:

Tuesday May 7th Math Test 1

Wednesday May 8th Math Test 2

Thursday May 9th Science Test 1 in the morning and Science Test 2 in the afternoon

Homework this week:

Monday and Tuesday night:  REVIEW all of the math terms we did in your ALEKS notebook on Monday morning.  Also, go back and review any of the Math UTIPS that you struggled with last week.  Then, do at least 1 Science UTIPS test.

Wednesday and Thursday night:  Use the UTIPS Science checklist on the back of your newsletter and finish up the Science UTIPS test.  REMEMBER to redo any test that you score below 80% on.

Also, since we are testing most of the week: 

*  Get PLENTY of sleep each night.

*  Eat a good breakfast

*  Have a POSITIVE attitude

*  When testing: Take your time

*  Try hard and DO YOUR BEST :)

 May 1st- Language 1 

May 2nd- Language 2 

May 6th- Math 1 

May 7th- Math 2

 May 9th- Science 1 

May 10th- Science 2

Make sure you get a good nights rest, eat a good breakfast, have a good attitude, and most importantly come ready to DO YOUR BEST AND ROCK THE TEST! :)

Our homework for the week is to do the Math UTIPS tests.  You have a checkoff sheet on the back of your newsletter.  If you do 4 or 5 tests per night you will have ALL of the math tests done by Friday! YOU CAN DO IT!  Some of the tests only have 10 questions.

Remember to redo any test that you score below 80%.  Also, come to class ready to ask questions about any concept you don't understand.  I want to make sure you understand anything you feel you need extra help with before the test.

Homework 04.22 - 04.26.13

This week for homework you are going to be working on UTIPS reviews for our end-of-level tests.  Our tests start next week!  UTIPS will help you review so that you will do a SPECTACULAR job on those tests.

Use your check off sheet on the back of the newsletter to track the tests you take.  If you get below an 80% on a test, redo it.  If you get above an 80%, you only need to take it once.

Tonight's Assignment:

1.  Do TWO UTIPS tests in the Reading Comprehension Folder/RC Tests.  Do RC Test 3 and RC Test 4.  Write your score in Notability.  I will have you show me your scores in the morning. 

2.  ScootPad Math- 20-30 minutes.  DO YOUR BEST!

3.  READ, READ, READ!  You have a book report that is going to be due on May 17th.  Make sure that you are reading the book you told me about today in class.  You need to have it finished in time to do the report.
